2014 Home Design Trends

Curb-less showers are a growing trend in home design. Leaving out the doors and curtains is a new twist on a modern bathroom.

Also trending are stand-alone bath tubs. They take up less room, and are a visually interesting way to jazz up your next renovation.

Many of our treasured devices charge using a USB power cord. Now you can have a USB port right in your power outlet with a U-Socket. The U-Socket has multiple USB ports and standard 3-prong all in one outlet! It also features a sensor that turns the power off when your device is fully charged.

Pops of bright color are “in.” Appliances, furniture, and accent walls are brightening up the living space.

If you prefer a softer palate, go for a relaxed approach to modern design. While stone, metal, and wood continue to be popular choices, trends are favoring modest designs with raw and earthy tones.

Multi-generation accommodations are another emerging trend in home design, such as walk-in bathtubs, and wall-mounted sinks for wheelchair access.

Motion sensing faucets and lighting are in demand!

Eco-friendly is “all the rage!”
